Stortford Interiors were appointed by Laing O’Rourke to deliver an architectural fit-out package for a Data Centre Client, Equinix. The new facility, spanning several data halls will provide colocation, interconnection, and connectivity services to users.
Stortford were awarded a wide ranging scope that captured a performance drywall and ceilings package to both the data halls and office areas with intimate steel interface detailing, secondary steel works and stringent fire rating requirements. The ceilings package included MF ceilings and a variety of demountable membranes. Glass wall was also captured in the remit.
The expansive scope also included the design, supply and installation of raised access floor systems and both hard and soft floor coverings and decorations and acoustic wall finishes to front of house Client areas.
Stortford Interiors in-house joinery division, Parkrose, delivered a large timber and metal door package that included automated functionality, in addition to tea-point and office joinery and ballistic security screens. Washroom IPS and tiling concluded the scope.
