Stortford Interiors are delighted to announce that we have recently secured a major architectural package award for Wates Construction at 17 Charterhouse Street, in the heart of London’s jewellery and diamond district. Anglo American and De Beers, the FTSE -100 mining giants and it’s diamond subsidiary appointed Wates to create a fresh modern campus providing a flexible and inspiring workplace. The site near Hatton Garden will undergo part demolition of the existing building and strip back to the existing structural frame. The reinstatement of two floors, reconfigured cores and re-cladding will provide a ‘reimagined’ facility with 40,000 sq/ft of additional floor space.
Stortford Interiors’ remit on the scheme is considerable. Performance drywall partitions, SFS to external perimeters and an array of proprietary metal pan ceilings are captured within our scope. Allied to this are bespoke timber and fabric ceilings with high acoustic properties. In addition to this, our in-house Joinery division Parkrose is set to deliver a technical washroom fit-out package to multiple cores that includes GIFA flooring, IPS, cubicle systems, vanity units, ceramic tiling, decoration and sanitary fittings, plus a comprehensive doorset package.
