Achilles Accreditation

Stortford Interiors has joined a small number of specialist interior fit out contractors to achieve Achilles BuildingConfidence Programme accreditation.
The Achilles BuildingConfidence Programme was developed by Bovis Lend Lease, one of Stortford Interiors’ main contractor clients, in partnership with Achilles Information Ltd. It aims to provide a one-stop-shop method of auditing suppliers on factors such as health and safety, sustainability, quality and financial performance. It is designed to save costs by providing a single pre-qualification process that allows a sub-contractor to work for a series of major contractors and clients. Over 550 of the world’s largest organisations in construction, oil and gas, utilities and the public sector use Achilles’ services to vet suppliers including British Land, The National Grid, Bovis Lend Lease, Network Rail, Shell and BP. Many major construction contractors working for these organisations also seek Achilles accreditation.
Jim Nania, Stortford Interiors’ Managing Director, commented “Stortford Interiors is committed to improving its health and safety record, reducing its impact on the environment and to demonstrating corporate social responsibility, to existing and prospective clients. Gaining Achilles accreditation is fitting recognition for how hard we have worked to achieve and sustain the high standards required by the programme. The accreditation process, considered to be the most demanding audit in the industry, was rigorous with strict criteria and a wide remit; we are truly delighted to have been awarded the standard and to be sitting alongside the best in the industry.”
