New Director appointed to Board
Non-executive Director appointed to the Stortford Interiors’ Board of Directors
Stortford Interiors (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce that Marion Sears has joined the Board of Directors as a non-executive Board member.
Marion brings with her considerable business experience as well as a wealth of Corporate Governance knowledge which will help strengthen and structure our Board and future business strategy.
Marion, age 45, has a notable business track record particularly in Corporate Finance. She started her career in the pharmaceutical industry in marketing and market research positions at GlaxoSmithKline. In 1986 she moved to the City where she worked for stockbrokers Phillips & Drew (now UBS). In 1989 she moved into Corporate Finance where she worked at Barings and then Flemings which has since become Chase Manhattan and JPMorgan, until 2001.
Since 2002 Marion has worked for herself as a non-executive Director for a variety of companies. Her current directorships include Dunelm Group PLC (family owned retailer: 80 homewares stores across the UK), and Zetar PLC (AIM listed food manufacturer) and she is member of the PriceWaterhouseCoopers UK Corporate Finance Advisory Board.
Past directorships include Boehringer Ingelheim UK Ltd (UK subsidiary of a large private German pharmaceutical company), Laboratory of the Government Chemist (scientific analysis and diagnostic company), and Prelude Trust PLC (listed investment trust).
Marion joined the Stortford Interiors’ Board on 1 October 2008.
