New hospital project begins in Bristol
Stortford Interiors has been appointed by client Laing O’Rourke to work on the Southmead Hospital project in Bristol. The project is split between two buildings: Academic and Pathology laboratories. Stortford Interiors have already contributed significantly to the design and technical challenges of the project, assisting and working closely with the two appointed Architects (Design Build and Avanti). The £560K, 16 week project is due for completion mid December 2008.
Scope of work will involve the installation of Komfire 100 plus partitions up to 12m high and interface with other partitioning systems involving highly technical design and specification to achieve certification on 60/60 minute fires screens. Double glazed modules are to be integrated into Atrium walls with commissioned artwork installation onto the glass.
